Udyam Jagriti 5.0 – College Campaign under Mission YUVA Organized by: Institute Innovation Council (IIC), Government Degree College for Women, Anantnag in collaboration with District Employment and Career Counselling Anantnag Date: 18 August 2026 Time: 2:00 PM Venue: College Auditorium The Institute Innovation Council (IIC), Government Degree College for Women, Anantnag, organized an awareness and entrepreneurship programme under Udyam Jagriti 5.0 – College Campaign of Mission YUVA on 18 August 2026. The programme commenced with a brief introduction by Dr. Touseef Ahmad, Convener, IIC, who formally welcomed the guests, resource persons, faculty members and students. He highlighted the importance of fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among students and encouraged them to actively explore opportunities for innovation and self-employment. Dr. Faisal Gulzar briefed the gathering about Mission Udyam Jagriti 5.0, highlighting its objectives, opportunities and relevance for young aspiring entrepreneurs. He encouraged students to identify innovative ideas and explore available avenues for developing them into viable entrepreneurial ventures. Mr. Muzaffer BHD, Lead, Anantnag, served as the resource person and provided a detailed briefing on the registration mechanism and idea-pitching process for the Hackathon. He explained the essential aspects of presenting an innovative idea and also interacted with students, addressing their queries regarding registration and participation. Ms. Shanu Altaf, a successful entrepreneur, shared her inspiring entrepreneurial journey and discussed the challenges and opportunities she encountered. She particularly highlighted the role and impact of Mission YUVA in supporting her entrepreneurial journey, motivating students to consider entrepreneurship as a viable career pathway. A formal Vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Sadiq Majid, Head, Department of Biotechnology The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from approximately 100 students. The students actively interacted with the resource persons and showed keen interest in the Hackathon, idea development and entrepreneurial opportunities. A feedback link was also shared with the participants to obtain their responses and suggestions regarding the programme. Overall, the programme successfully created awareness about Mission YUVA, entrepreneurship, innovation and Hackathon opportunities, while motivating students to develop and pursue their innovative ideas.
