Report on the Inauguration of the Inter-Department Cricket Tournament Date: 15 October 2026 Venue: Government Degree College for Women, Anantnag The Department of Physical Education, Government Degree College for Women, Anantnag, inaugurated the Inter-Department Cricket Tournament today, 15 October 2026. The inaugural session was presided over by the worthy Principal of the College in the presence of members of the College Sports Committee and the Physical Education Director, Mr. Umar Bashir. The tournament has been organised with the objective of providing maximum opportunities for students to participate in sports activities, showcase their cricketing skills, and promote teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and healthy competition among different departments of the college. The event marks the beginning of a series of matches aimed at fostering physical fitness, camaraderie, and a spirit of healthy rivalry among the participating teams.
