Report on Quiz Competition Theme: Freedom Struggle & National Heroes Date: 06/08/2026 Venue: Conference Hall Organised by: Department of History, GDC Women Anantnag The Department of History, Government Degree College for Women, Anantnag, organised a Quiz Competition on Freedom Struggle & National Heroes on 06 August 2026 in the Conference Hall. The quiz was conducted by Dr. Gousia Khan, Head of the Department of History, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who showcased their knowledge of India’s freedom movement and the contributions of national heroes. The winners were Maheen Nisar (206882), Rabia Rashid (206834), and Rizqa Gulzar (260845), who will represent the college at the Inter-College Quiz Competition to be held at GDC Boys Anantnag. The winners were announced by Dr. Muzaffar Mir and Dr. Tauseef, faculty History Dept., who congratulated the participants and encouraged students to uphold the values of patriotism, historical awareness, and responsible citizenship.
